Malcolm Thompson is a Principal Consultant at Serendis Leadership, bringing more than 25 years of senior experience in international banking and finance, followed by over a decade in leadership consulting, coaching and mentoring.
His corporate career spanned senior roles at National Australia Bank, where he led the Global Banks and Diversified Financials business, the Wholesale Banking business for Asia based in Hong Kong, and the Global Financial Markets Interest Rate and Credit Sales business. Earlier roles with Macquarie Bank, Bankers Trust and Credit Suisse took him across New York, Sydney and Melbourne, and included a period in Corporate Treasury in London.
Malcolm’s consulting work spans leadership consulting, executive and team coaching, and organisational development. He is accredited in Hogan Assessment, Leadership Circle, LSI and Hogan 360, and brings a disciplined, commercially grounded approach to his work with individuals and teams. He supports leaders to strengthen performance, broaden perspective and contribute with greater clarity and intent.
Malcolm holds an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Sydney. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an organisational coaching certification from the Institute of Executive Coaching.
