Dr Abby Jandro is driven to help clients build their leadership capability and succeed in business. Her supportive, yet straightforward approach means she quickly gets to the heart of any issue or development need. She then works with clients to create and execute a plan for achieving their individual, team and organisation goals.
Abby is an experienced coach, consultant and facilitator that has worked with managers and teams at every level. Originally from the United States, she holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology and has worked with organisations ranging from small start-ups to Fortune Global 500 companies. As a cross-cultural leadership expert she has worked in Australia with hundreds of leaders from around the world primarily in the aeromedical and resources industries.
Prior to joining Serendis in 2015, Abby worked for the Royal Flying Doctor Service creating and implementing leadership development programs, team assessment and development workshops, and companywide learning and development strategy. Her professional education and senior leadership experience creates the ideal blend of psychology and business, and her direct, honest and results oriented approach supports clients reaching their full potential.
As a researcher, Abby has examined the impact of diversity in organisations. This work explored factors that promote or hinder the productivity of teams. She applies her knowledge of diversity and team dynamics to help clients discover ways to overcome barriers to team effectiveness. She has also conducted an international comparison of why talented people do not succeed to the level expected. Her findings inform her work with leaders, helping them avoid common pitfalls and reach their full potential.
